Please note a Digital Comps promotion voucher is completely different from a gift voucher from eBooks.com. If you received a voucher for an ebook from a friend, or course leader (that ends in 'vc') to redeem on eBooks.com, then you need this help article.

If you received an email or other communication from a publisher inviting you to review a book for a publication, or evaluate a book for your course as a course leader, then this will be a promotion voucher and this is the right help article for you.

Normally the email you receive comes from the Digital Comps and will look similar to the image below. But the publisher may also send the voucher themselves via their own email, or distribute the voucher by other means.

Select the 'Redeem this promotion' button to visit the publisher's Digital Comps system. If the publisher contacted you directly they will usually include a link that incorporates the voucher code directly, for the voucher in the example above the ebook is from The Floating Press. The link would look like this: https://promotions.eb20.com/tfp/Redeem/RedeemLogin?voucherCode=bU2MpQxuzki93s0m9brxyA

Once you have reached the Digital Comps site, if you have clicked a link with the voucher code incorporated then the page will ask you if you want to redeem the code. If you do want to proceed you need to either sign in to your existing Digital Comps account, or create a new one.

If you already have an account simply enter your email address and password an select 'Sign in'. The voucher will be redeemed, the ebook will be added to your account, and then you will be taken to your Digital Comps bookshelf to access your ebook.

If you do not already have an account please select the tab that says 'Create a new bookshelf'.

Please note: The voucher can only be redeemed by the account with the same email address that the voucher was sent to. Please use the same email address to create your account, otherwise you will not be able to redeem the voucher.

Enter your details and choose a password. Then you need to agree to the publisher's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Then select 'Create bookshelf'. The voucher will be redeemed, the ebook will be added to your account, and then you will be taken to your Digital Comps bookshelf to access your ebook.

If you have a link to the publisher's Digital Comps system that does not incorporate the voucher code please do not worry. When you reach the website there will be a field for your to copy and paste the voucher code.

Enter your code and then select 'Redeem voucher', and you will then be taken to the screen above where you will be asked to sign in to an existing account, or create a new one.

Potential issues

Once you have redeemed the voucher and added the ebook to your bookshelf, the voucher deactivates. If you use the 'Redeem this promotion' link from your email, or any link to Digital Comps that incorporates your voucher code you will still be signed in to your bookshelf, but you will receive an error that the voucher has already been redeemed.

Instead please simply visit the publisher's Digital Comps platform without the voucher code and sign in to your account and your ebook will be in your bookshelf ready to be accessed.

If you are still having a problem redeeming your voucher code please contact our support team, please quote your voucher code, and the publisher who sent it to you and that this is a Digital Comps support query. We can then check that status of the voucher code and resolve any issues.
