Most devices will support the DRM we use (either Readium LCP or Adobe DRM). Some devices (Kindle Fire, Kobo Arc, Lenovo Smart Paper, Onyx Boox, SuperNote, inkBook) do not support either DRM system, but because they are Android based they can install our eBooks.com app, so you can read DRM-protected ebooks this way. And most devices with a web browser can read DRM-protected ebooks in our Online Reader.
But some devices, like ReMarkable, XTEINK, and regular Kindle (not Kindle Fire), do not support any DRM system (or only their own proprietary one), and are also unable to read DRM-protected ebooks by other means.
If you want to read on one of these devices you can still purchase ebooks from eBooks.com, but you must ensure that they are DRM-free. You can do this in a few ways.
We have implemented a search results filter, so once you have completed a regular search you can use the filter to the right of the search results to only display those ebooks that are DRM-free in at least one format.
We also have an Advanced Search that has a DRM option that you can set to DRM-Free before you search.

Once you have found an ebook that you want to purchase, please be sure to check the product page to ensure the ebook is DRM-free. If you scroll down to the "About this Ebook" section, if the listed file formats says "DRM Protected" this means that DRM is applied and it will not work on your device. If it says "drm free" or "drm free, digitally watermarked" then it is compatible and you are safe to purchase the ebook.
Once you have purchased your ebook, you can then transfer the ebook to your device.
