We have created a non-Google dependent version of our eBooks.com Android app. It is compatible with Kindle Fire, Huawei phones, e-ink readers like SuperNote and inkBook, basically any Android device that doesn't have access to Google Play.

It requires a minimum of Android 7.0 or later. (That's 8th Generation Kindle Fire (2018) and later)

You can download the app directly here: https://app.ebooks.com/download

1. Tap Download .apk
2. When Android asks, allow installs from this source.
3. Open the downloaded file and tap Install.

The first time, you may need to enable “Install unknown apps” for your browser.

Please note you cannot have this app and the Play Store version installed at the same time. If you try you will receive the "App not installed" error. Please uninstall the Google Play version before attempting to install this version.

This version of the app does not have automatic updates, so when a new version is available, download it from this page again.

If your device does have access to Google Play please DO NOT install this version of the app. Please install the version available in Google Play as you will be able to receive automatic updates, without having to manually uninstall and reinstall the app. For instructions on installing the standard/Google Play version of the app please see this help article.
