This is an issue that some iOS eBooks.com app users have reported, where when they attempt to either download an ebook, or open one they have already downloaded the app just shuts down. It seems to only happen with newer versions of iOS.
Thankfully there is a solution to resolve this.
In your iOS Settings located at Settings > [Apple Account Name] > Media & Purchases > Password Settings. Under the Free Downloads section, Apple provides a toggle to control whether free downloads require an Apple Account password. Please change this setting to "Never Require" or "Off".
Then open the eBooks.com app again and retry.
If you try the above solution and are still having the same difficultydifferent browser an still experience the same issue, please complete our support form to submit a ticket to our customer support.
