This error message is normally caused by a network issue. Your browser cannot send the information our server needs to verify you as the user trying to open the ebook. In order to resolve it you may need to disable any VPN, and firewall as well as any plugins that may restrict certain network activities (eg, api/xhr calls).
If you have javascript disabled, please enable it for eBooks.com. And check your web browser for any plugins that may be preventing network activity. If this is not the cause it is likely your firewall or VPN.
If you have deactivated all of these and you are still experiencing the issue please try opening a browser tab in incognito mode. Sign in to eBooks.com and try accessing your ebook in the Online Reader this way.
If this still doesn't work please take a screenshot, including the full URL displayed in the browser's address bar and please complete our support form to submit a ticket to our customer support. Please be sure to mention the error message (Failed to fetch), and the title of the ebook that is having the issue, and attach the screenshot. Please also copy the URL from your web browser and paste that in your email. Please also mention that you have tried the solutions suggested in this help article. We can then investigate and resolve the issue.
