Did you know that you can download and read your eBooks.com ebooks without needing to visit the website? If you use an OPDS-compatible reading application (like Thorium Reader, or our Android and iOS apps) you can load your bookshelf in the application directly.

Automated Method

Begin by using your device's browser to log in to your eBooks.com account at https://www.ebooks.com/account/login.

In your account section select "My eBooks/My Bookshelf", then scroll down, and below your ebooks there will be an "Access OPDS Feed" button.

Select this button and you will be presented with this screen:

If you select the "Open OPDS Feed" button your web browser may show a pop-up asking for permission to open a desktop application.

Check the box that says "Always allow www.ebooks.com to open links of this type in the associated app", then select "Open Desktop application to read ebooks".

Thorium Reader will open. Then a new tab will load on your browser asking you to sign in to your eBooks.com account.

Enter your eBooks.com username and select "Next".

Then enter your eBooks.com password and select "Login". Another permission box may come up.

Again, please check the box that says "Always allow https://auth.ebooks.com to open links of this type in the associated app", then select "Open Desktop application to read ebooks".

Thorium Reader will open, but will be showing the Home screen. Click on Catalogs in the menu and you should now see your eBooks.com OPDS Feed listed.

Click on the catalog and your browser will open a new tab asking you to log in using the save details.

Select "Continue". Thorium Reader will then display your eBooks.com bookshelf.

You have now completed importing your OPDS feed. From now on when you open Thorium Reader, if you click on the Catalogs screen and click on your eBooks.com feed it will display all the ebooks in your eBooks.com bookshelf.

Manual Method

If for some reason this process did not work, you can import your OPDS feed manually.

Begin by using your device's browser to log in to your eBooks.com account at https://www.ebooks.com/account/login.

In your account section select "My eBooks/My Bookshelf", then scroll down, and below your ebooks there will be an "Access OPDS Feed" button.

Select this button and you will be presented with this screen:

Select the "Copy" button to copy the link to your clipboard. If for some reason the link isn't showing please copy this: https://gateway.ebooks.com/library/v1/library Now open Thorium Reader.

Click on the Catalogs tab, then click on the "Add OPDS feed" button in the top right corner.

On the next screen give the feed a recognizable name (e.g. eBooks.com Bookshelf), then paste the copied link in to the Link field. Then select "Add". You should now see your eBooks.com OPDS Feed listed.

Click on the catalog and Thorium Reader will then display your eBooks.com bookshelf.

You have now completed importing your OPDS feed. From now on when you open Thorium Reader, if you click on the Catalogs screen and click on your eBooks.com feed it will display all the ebooks in your eBooks.com bookshelf.
