It is unclear what causes this issue, but if you do experience this problem then when Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) opens it will be missing most of the user interface and only the menu bar will be visible.

The solution to this issue is to follow these 3 steps:
- Uninstall Adobe Digital Editions. Instructions on how to do so can be found here.
- Rename the My Digital Editions folder:
- For Windows:
- Navigate to C:\Users\[Name of user]\Documents and look for the "My Digital Editions" folder
- Rename the "My Digital Editions" folder to something else, like "My Digital Editions_old"
- For Mac:
- Open Finder and navigate to ~/Documents/ and look for the "Digital Editions" folder
- Rename the "Digital Editions" folder to something else, like "Digital Editions_old"
- For Windows:
- Reinstall Adobe Digital Editions. Instructions on how to do so can be found here.
If you follow the above steps then when you open ADE it should now be showing the user interface as normal. If you are still experiencing the issue please contact our support team.
